  • Promoter DUU Attractions, with John Scher co-promoter. Wage for the two shows: $5,000 plus 60% over $17,000. Weather fair. First show nearly a sellout (41 deadwood), late show not on capacity 1,500 (388 deadwood). The gigs were nearly confirmed for Love Auditorium at Davidson College. If anyone knows Russell Cushigian, who was assistant director of student activities at Davidson at the time, we'd love to know why that didn't happen (Office notes regarding "nearly confirmed" Jerry Garcia Band shows at Love Auditorium, Davidson College, April 4, 1976, NEP).
